Dharashiv district has a well-structured network of police stations strategically positioned across key towns, talukas, and administrative centres. The district is home to 17 police stations, including those in Dharashiv City, Tuljapur, Bhoom, Kalamb, Omarga, and Paranda, ensuring extensive law enforcement coverage.
In Dharashiv, people commonly address police officers as "sir" as a mark of respect, while more approachable officers are often referred to as "Mama" or occasionally "Kaka" in local interactions. The district police also operate special units dedicated to handling crime prevention, traffic regulation, cybercrime, and other specialised law enforcement responsibilities.
Community Perception of Safety
Dharashiv district is generally considered safe for women and children, with residents expressing confidence in law enforcement and the effectiveness of police patrols. Even at night, people feel secure, allowing children and women to travel independently without major concerns.
